Linda Clark is the Program Managerfor Western’s Office of Survey Research (OSR), and the Undergraduate Advisor for Sociology students. She received her M.A. in Anthropology from Western Washington University in 1990, then joined OSR and the Sociology Department in Fall of 1990. Previous work experience includes five years as office manager for a local law firm, and six years as coordinator of various programs in higher education, including extension, community service, and international studies at Western and at Tacoma C.C.
Linda is a member of the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) and a member of Western's Advisor's Group.She serves on various tasks forces and committees, including the curriculum committee for the Sociology Department.She has contributed extensively toward campus-wide efforts to develop a Departmental Advising Model as part of Western's accountability plan, including the design and coordination of departmental advising web pages.
Research activities include development and implementation of the Western Educational Longitudinal Study (WELS), and special projects requested by Western's administration for assessment, accountability, and program evaluation.
Linda is an artist on the side, and enjoys traveling, camping, cycling, and hanging out with her kids, family, and friends.
