Research Units
The Sociology Department has a number of resources that benefit both faculty and students. The Center for Social Science Instruction (CSSI) provides access to thousands of data bases through ICPSR, as well as assistance with computing and statistical analysis. CSSI and the Sociology Department maintain a computer laboratory in Arntzen Hall 01. This lab is primarily used for classroom instruction.
The Office of Survey Research (OSR) provides high quality survey research and other applied social science research that supports the mission of Western Washington University. OSR has a computer assisted telephone interviewing (CATI) facility in AH535.
