See Western's best in academics, arts and fun at Fall Family Open House
Fall Family Open House, an activity-filled weekend designed for students and families to get together to sample Western's academic, cultural, athletic and social offerings, is coming up soon.
The weekend will include a tour of The Learning Commons, a new one-stop center in Wilson Library home to learning resources including the Tutoring Center, the Writing Center, the Student Technology Center and others.
Families will also be able to explore Western's academic life with a campus fair showcasing many academic majors and programs. Several departments and academic programs will also host open houses, including Behavioral Neuroscience, Chemistry, Fairhaven College, the Theatre and Dance Department Costume Shop and the Center for Education, Equity and Diversity.

A raffle supporting student scholarships will offer great prizes, including overnight stays at Hotel Bellwether and the Fairhaven Village Inn, wine tastings at several Washington wineries, restaurant gift certificates, event tickets and much more. The drawing will take place on Oct. 22 during the Wine and Cheese Reception at the Western Gallery, which will feature "The Art of Robert Davidson."
Other highlights include men's and women's soccer games, planetarium shows, a tour of the Outdoor Sculpture Collection, the Filipino Heritage Dinner and a dual performance by the Rainbow Creek Dancers and the Git-hoan Native Group, narrated by Davidson.
