Relay for Life honors those fighting cancer
Western Washington University’s Relay for Life event will draw more than 60 teams of students and others for an all-night event that raises funds for cancer care and research.
The relay will be during Showtime Family Weekend from noon on May 16 to 8 a.m. May 17 on Western’s track.
The event celebrates those who have survived cancer, encourages those who are fighting, and remembers those who have been lost to this terrible disease.
Last year’s relay, sponsored by Western Students Against Cancer, raised more than $68,000 for the American Cancer Society and drew about 800 participants.
