Pullman’s Hannah Massie Higgins is new student trustee
Hannah Massie Higgins, a Manufacturing Engineering Technology major who served on WWU’s Presidential Search Advisory Committee, has been appointed by the Governor to serve on the Board of Trustees in 2008-2009.
Higgins, from Pullman, was one of 15 students to travel to Iceland last summer, meeting scientists and policy makers and studying renewable technologies.
Serving on the University’s governing body is a way to give back, Higgins wrote in her application.
“I’m going to do some pretty cool stuff in my life, and I know that I’ll owe much of it to the education and experience I’ve gained here at Western.”
