Newsletters, Parent Connection help families stay in touch with WWU
There are many ways to get the latest news from Western.
Soundings quarterly newsletters: This online publication offers campus news and program information to families of Western students. Make sure Western’s office of New Student Services/Family Outreach has your address and e-mail.
Parent Connection: Western’s outreach program to families includes a monthly e-newsletter and opportunities to network and volunteer. Learn more here or call (360) 650-3846.
Western Weekly: Stay up-to-date with Western in the news with a weekly roundup of links to news stories about WWU that have appeared in newspapers, magazines and blogs around the world. See previous editions or subscribe.
Emergency text messages: Students and families can get text messages with critical information during an emergency on Western’s campus. The system is used during emergencies that endanger personal safety, such as a campus closure during weather too treacherous for traveling.
