Emergency text messages: Want to stay in the loop when emergencies hit campus? Community members, family and friends of Western Washington University students may sign up for Western Alert, Western's emergency response notification system. Click here and click on the "Register" link in the upper right. Western Alert messages are sent in the event of an emergency to the e-mail addresses and/or cell phones (via text message) of those on the notification list.
