Money-saving tips can stretch tuition dollars
Other cost-saving tips to keep in mind:
- Choose your courses wisely. If possible, take 15 credits instead of 12. And fill your schedule as much as possible with courses that count toward your degree.
- Take a serious look at your budget. Does it make sense to bring a car to campus when parking is expensive and student fees include a bus pass? Can you find cheaper living arrangements? How much of your food budget goes to restaurants?
- Keep just one credit card only for emergencies. Credit card interest payments add up and make it more difficult to pay for necessities and to tackle student loan debt after graduation.
