Sustainability Defined

In order to further WWU’s strategic goal of sustainability, the WWU Sustainability Committee has defined the term “sustainability” as it applies to campus operations and academics.

A sustainable WWU:

• Protects local and global ecology
• Upholds social equity
• Creates economic vitality
• Maintains human health
