Interested in participating with the Green Energy Fee Grant Program? Here's how you can get involved.
1. Apply for a grant! Once you have an idea, gather a team, and start researching the feasiblity and logistics of your idea. Go to the Apply page for more information on the application process..
2. Apply to be on the Green Energy Fee Committtee. This is the student, staff and faculty committee that allocates funding for Green Energy Fee projects. The Committee has two student openings every year. Applications are due May 15, 2013 for serving on the Committee beginning in the fall. You can find the applications on the AS website: http://as.wwu.edu/committees/
3. Submit your idea. Have great idea but don't have much time to be involved yourself? Submit your idea on our web form . We will share these ideas at Green Energy Fee Idea Labs or Info Sessions for folks who want to be involved, but are still looking for that perfect idea.
4. Sign up to volunteer. Sometimes we need students to help with project research, signage, or events. If you're intersted in being on our volunteer list, send an email to the GEF Education Coordinator at AS.GreenFee@wwu.edu .
5. Take CSPS. Do you have a really big project idea that needs some time to be developed? Sign up for the Campus Sustainabilty Planning Studio (CSPS) course through Huxley. This class will let you gather a team, and the time to work on the nitty-gritty details of your project. If you don't have an idea yet, you can still sign up for the class and join a team.
6. Follow us on Facebook & Twitter. When we have a big announcement, we'll be posting it on these sites.
