Go for the Green Challenge: Landfill Waste Reduction Pledge

The Residence Halls at Western Washington University generate roughly 500,000 lbs of landfill waste every year!!!

As a student of Western Washington University, I pledge to support an institutional movement towards zero waste by incorporating the four following measures into my lifestyle.

1. Shop with a reusable sack. (Now available to check out @ your hall’s info desk)
2. Utilize reusable beverage containers.
3. Make a consistent effort to sort and recycle any recyclable materials.
4. Visit the Associated Students Recycle Center website and view the guides to what is and is not recyclable and ensure that no recyclable materials end up in the trash.
