National Sustainability Programs
The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE)
AASHE is a a membership-based association of colleges and universities working to advance sustainability in higher education in the US and Canada. They work in partnership with businesses, NGO's and government agencies that support our mission. On their website you'll find many resources to assist your campus sustainability efforts, including a sustainability policy bank, a campus sustainability professional's page, interest groups, publications, classroom resources, and useful links for virtually every aspect of campus operations. All of the resources on the AASHE site are available to WWU students, staff and faculty.
AASHE 2009 Digest
The 380-page report, available free from the AASHE website, includes over 1,250 stories that appeared in the weekly AASHE Bulletin last year. Initiatives from nearly 600 higher education institutions are organized into 24 chapters, spanning education and research, campus operations, and administration and finance. In addition, the publication contains over 110 new campus sustainability resources that were released in 2009.
EPA Renewable Energy
