Multimedia

The Tech Center supports the design and development of multimedia with a fully-equipped lab as well as support staff knowledgeable in related software. Consider scheduling a tutoring appointment or registering for one of our workshops. Walk-in services are available for scanning, color printing, and video duplication.

Scanning

We have several scanners available for scanning both documents and slides. Our multipage feeder can automate the scan of multipage documents and our large-format scanner can accommodate documents up to 11x17. We have the Adobe suite and MS Office suite of products to manipulate scanned documents as well as Optical Character Recognition Software (ABBY Finereader).

Video

Many students make the Tech Center their home for video and audio editing and duplication. We have ten (10) computer stations (5 Windows, 5 Mac) equipped with external VCRs, TV monitors, and high-capacity hard drives as well as appropriate editing software. The Center also provides video duplication capabilities in order to transfer from one format to another, or to make DVD duplications. Most of this equipment is available 24x7 in Haggard Hall 122.
