The Department of Theatre and Dance offers departmental scholarships to its majors each spring for the following academic year. We encourage you to review our 13-14 Theatre and 13-14 Dance scholarhips to see if you qualify.

Scholarship Application Deadline: April 22, 2013

BFA Dance Applications Accepted through April 26

Students interested in applying for the BFA dance program should review the nomination checklist and the nomination procedure. Applications are due by April 26, 2013. The BFA announcement will be made no later than May 17, 2013.

Mission Statement

The faculty and staff of the Theatre and Dance Department are committed to a liberal arts approach to performing arts education while maintaining a balance of both academic and practical approaches to the arts of theatre and dance. We believe strongly in the value of academic rigor, which in turn supports and maintains productions and projects of the highest standards. We promote a global, diverse and collaborative view of performing arts education, and strive to train artistic leaders in their chosen disciplines who will further contribute to the craft.
