Western Student Shuttle
The Western Student Shuttle is a late night bus service for Western students only, funded by the Student Transportation Fee. A valid Western Card is required to board.
The shuttle system consists of two buses traveling opposite directions on one fixed route serving downtown Bellingham, WWU, Bill McDonald Parkway and Sehome Village, Lincoln Creek Park & Ride, and Lakeway Center.
The Western Student Shuttle stops at all WTA bus stops along its route. In addition, the shuttle makes three stops downtown: Commercial St & Holly at the Parkade, Railroad Avenue outside the WTA station, and Railroad and Champion. It DOES NOT STOP inside the WTA station Downtown, and it is not affiliated with or operated by WTA.

Service Changes for 2011-2012:
1. The shuttle will return to "evening hours only" Sunday service.
2. The shuttle will NOT provide Sunday evening service from the Amtrak/ Greyhound station:
WTA has resumed Sunday Bus Service - The route 105 bus leaves the Amtrak/Greyhound station at 9:25 PM. Students arriving after 9:25 PM will need to provide their own transportation or use a taxi.
Hours of Operation:
Monday-Saturday, 11 PM - 3 AM
Sunday, 9 PM - 3 AM
Text Alerts for Shuttle Service Cancellation:
Students can receive a text message if the shuttle is cancelled due to weather conditions, and a notification of last day service for each quarter and some holidays.
1. Subscribe to the service by texting "Bus" to 68398.
2. Be sure to RE-subscribe to this service each academic year, to continue receiving text alerts.
Shuttle Policies:
- A Valid Western ID Card is required for boarding.
- Be respectful of the driver and other passengers on the shuttle. Abstaining from profanity is expected.
- Non-alcoholic beverages are allowed if they are in a closed container.
- Food cannot be consumed on the shuttle and should be kept in a closed container or wrapper.
- Guests:
One guest per student. The guest must be accompanied by a student with a valid Western Card.

Refusal of Service:
Drivers reserve the right to refuse service to any person who does not observe policies, shows the potential to cause harm to themselves or others, or interferes with vehicle safety.
Rider Information:
- Items left on the bus will be taken to University Police Dispatch, located at Campus Services. Stop by or call 650-3555.

- To avoid missing the bus, arrive at your stop a few minutes early.
- Nightfall and rainy weather reduce visibility. Wave at the driver to make sure you are seen.
