Vice Provost for Academic Resources
The Vice Provost for Academic Resources (VPAR) reports to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and leads/coordinates projects and communications concerning academic initiatives, policy, budget, resources, space, and personnel.
The VPAR is the liaison to the University Budget Office, serves as the Provost’s designee when interacting with Human Resources and Equal Opportunity Office, and works closely with faculty, deans, vice provosts and academic directors to promote transparency, ready access to sound and relevant information, and the optimal alignment of resources to serve Western’s core academic mission.
The Vice Provost for Academic Resources oversees the Academic Budget Office, Space Administration, Scientific Technical Services, and coordinates with Human Resources on Faculty Relations.
