The Vice Provost of Information Technology serves as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Western. The Vice Provost supervises the areas of: 

• Academic Computing
• Administrative Computing
• Technical Services
• Telecommunications
• Scientific Technical Services

The Vice Provost of Information Technology works with all areas of the university to coordinate technology planning and implementation, as well as initiating programs that maintain Western's top ranking in technological applications and use of emerging technologies.
