Nakama: Qy-Ana Manning Bio

Qy-Ana Manning is the epitome of "work hard, play hard." Originally from Oakland, CA, Qy moved to Olympia, WA to attend The Evergreen State College (BA, '98), where she worked as an Admissions Counselor for five years prior to coming to Western in 2004.

A perfect day for Qy would include going on a long strong run, firing up the grill with good friends, and watching lots of football. Qy is a die-hard Seahawks fan and all-around sports and fitness enthusiast. She currently is training to complete her first full marathon at the end of September, as well as her master's degree in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education.
