This first annual conference, in the western region of the US and Canada, is a collaborative effort of 12 universities with graduate programs engaged in the study of the education of adults. The conference provides a forum for practitioners and researchers to present research, and to learn, debate, explore ideas, collaborate, and dialogue with each other. Papers, roundtables, and poster presentations that discuss practices, concepts, evaluations, and research studies for educating adults will be presented. Professors, graduate students, researchers, teachers, trainers, and administrators are invited to join the discussion and collaborative effort to share theory and practice on the education of adults.

Paper Submission Guidelines for Presenters

Come experience the beauty of fall in the Pacific Northwest! In addition to the conference, special events are planned that will embrace the Pacific Northwest's cuisine and culture. Western Washington University is in Bellingham, Washington, which is easily accessible by air, train, or bus. It is located two hours north of Seattle and one hour south of Vancouver, BC. You are welcome to stay at the Best Western Lakeway Inn, the conference hotel, for $89 (double) with free shuttle to the conference.
