This first annual conference, in
the western region of the US and Canada, is a collaborative effort
of 12 universities with graduate programs engaged in the study of
the education of adults. The conference provides a forum for practitioners
and researchers to present research, and
to learn, debate, explore ideas, collaborate, and dialogue with each
other. Papers, roundtables, and poster presentations that discuss
practices, concepts, evaluations, and research studies for educating
adults will be presented. Professors, graduate students, researchers,
teachers, trainers, and administrators are invited to join the discussion
and collaborative effort to share theory and practice on the education
of adults.
Paper Submission Guidelines for Presenters
The conference will examine
the role of social justice and the lifelong education of adults
in a global world.
A special feature of the conference
is a forum for graduate students, designed to help make the
transition from student to professional educator. Sessions
on professional development, choosing a career path to educate
adults, writing for publications, and conducting research
are planned.
