The WRRCEA is proud to feature its keynote speaker, Sharan Merriam, professor of Adult Education at the University of Georgia!  Most of us in the Adult Education community are familiar with her book, Learning in Adulthood, which has just been reprinted in its 3rd edition for 2007.  Dr. Merriam has an impressive list of additional publications.  Her research areas are: the foundations of adult education, adult learning theory, adult development, gerontology, and qualitative research methods.  Three of her books have won the Cyril O. Houle Award for Outstanding Literature in Adult Education!  Dr. Merriam is very active in her field, passionate about her work, and incredibly well traveled.  We look forward to learning from her wealth of experience and will enjoy her dynamic presence as our special guest at the WRRCEA!
