WELCOME
The Office of Capital Planning and Development was established in July 2009 to improve efficiencies and enhance transparency of the capital planning process. During October and November, the Capital Planning and Development Office and the Office of Space Administration are providing training, workshops and support related to the new process and how to complete the new Capital Project Request forms. Several critical milestones are approaching regarding submission of the 2011-13 Capital Project Request Forms.
| Nov. 3, 2009 | Recommended deadline for individuals to submit request to supervisor, chair or director. |
| Dec. 6, 2009 | Recommended deadline for supervisors, chairs and directors to forward their recommendations to their Planning Unit Leader |
| Jan. 15, 2010 | Recommended deadline for Planning Unit Leaders to forward their recommendations to the mailbox for Capital. Planning@wwu.edu for processing and to share with the VP/Provost. |

Rick Benner, University Architect, is Executive Director of the Office of Capital Planning and Development. The office has connections to Space Administration and Management in Academic Affairs, and Facilities Management (Facilities Design and Construction Administration – FDCA) and Capital Budget Office in Business and Financial Affairs.
