Over the last nine months, the University has been developing the 2015-2017 Capital Budget Request and updating the 2015-2025 Ten-Year Capital Plan.

The Vice Presidents have met and considered the information gathered by staff, discussion from the UPRC, and the strategic needs and goals of the University as refined through the six-year strategic plans, and developed their draft recommended 2015-2017 Capital Budget Request and 2015-2025 10-Year Plan. These will be presented to the UPRC at their April 2, 2014 meeting. Similar to the previous presentation to UPRC, this information will be dispersed to the campus community through Western Today, posted on the Facilities Development & Capital Budget website, and available by audiocast of the UPRC meeting. These will also be presented to the Board of Trustees at their April 4, 2014 meeting.

Based on input received from the Board, UPRC, the campus community and other input to the Vice Presidents, these recommendations will be refined and President Shepherd will bring the final 2015-2017 Capital Budget Request and 2015-2025 10-Year Plan back to the Board for their approval at the June 2014 meeting before its submittal to the Office of Financial Management in Olympia.
