WWU Retirement Association

Who We Are

The Western Washington University Retirement Association (WWURA) is a vibrant group of individuals that includes the extended family of retirees, former employees, and their partners. We welcome all those who have served WWU, or other universities, in a variety of capacities and who wish to engage with each other and the university in fun and meaningful ways. In retirement, we enjoy the opportunity to explore more leisurely pursuits, while we also want to continue our participation in the Western community. WWURA provides many ways of doing so: information gatherings, education and pleasurable excursions, lectures and informational programs for retirees and friends of Western.

Purpose

  • Provide continuing social, emotional, intellectual and physical development for members.
  • Maintain treasured ties and friendships with former colleagues.
  • Maintain important ties with the university and support the university’s continuing efforts to provide service to students and society.
