Work is underway to publish selected papers from the conference.  While we do not yet know exactly what shape the book will take and how many papers will be included, we do know that we will endeavor to include the best possible representation of the entire program.  Our intent is to hold to the highest standards of sophisticated cross-cultural psychological research.
    The book will be co-edited by Walter J. Lonner, Dale L. Dinnel, Deborah K. Forgays, and Susanna A. Hayes, all of whom are at Western Washington University and members of the Scientific Program Advisory Committee.  Ryan O. Murphy, a WWU graduate student, will serve as editorial assistant.  A title is yet to be selected, but following IACCP tradition it must begin with the letter "M."  The subtitle will be "Selected Papers from the 14th International Congress of the International Association for Cross-Cultural Psychology."  Following tradition that started with the 1974 IACCP Congress, the book will be published by Swets and Zeitlinger of Lisse, The Netherlands. If progress follows the somewhat optimistic plans we have developed, the book should be ready for distribution by October or November, 1999.
