Geometry Stations
     
    The following activites may be used as whole-class activities (one hour each), or used as geometry stations (30-45 minutes at each station, working in groups).

    Tricky Toothpicks - exploring triangles, patterns, and the triangle inequality
        Supplies needed:  One box of toothpicks (50 or more).

    Cube Jackets - making and classifying cube nets, developing spatial reasoning
        Supplies needed:  2cm cubes or multilink cubes, 2cm graph paper

    Pentomino Puzzlers - puzzles and a game with pentominos
        Supplies needed:  Pentominos, perhaps made from multilink cubes

    Tangram Challenges - make tangrams by folding, solve geometric puzzles
        Supplies needed:  Construction paper, scissors

    The Extraordinary Apple Pick- finding areas and exploring Pick's theorem
        Supplies needed:  Geoboards

    Soma Cube - 3-D spatial reasoning
        Supplies needed:  Snap cubes, isometric triangular dot paper

    Three Views - 3-D spatial reasoning
        Supplies needed:  Snap cubes, isometric triangular dot paper

    Floorplans - 3-D spatial reasoning
        Supplies needed:  Snap cubes, paper bags
