Are you looking for a job or internship? Or maybe for opportunities to learn about and connect with employers?
Participate in a career & internship fair, featuring dozens of employers based in Whatcom or Skagit County, who have traveled to campus to spend the afternoon getting to know Western students and alumni!
For disability accommodations please call 360-650-3240 at least 48 hours prior to the event.
Attend a 30-minute orientation (virtual or in-person) where we’ll discuss logistics prior to this event and/or sign up for a career fair tour timeslot that will be taking place during this event.
The Career Services Center has resources for both to support a productive engagement and learning environment for everyone!
(Registration is ongoing)
View participating employers and prioritize which employers you’d like to learn more about with viewing the Student Preview Page in Handshake! Check back often, as registration is open until 1-2 weeks before the career fair!
Handshake is Western’s employer database and job posting platform. Thousands of employers (local, regional, national, and international) are on the Handshake network. Once we open registration, employers on the Handshake network that are connected to Western, and meet our recruitment policies, can register for our All Industries Career & Internship Fairs.
The Career Services Center also collaborates with specific colleges and departments to host major or industry-specific fairs.
The Career Services Center strives to open career fair registration well in advance of the event date to allow employers to attend. However, sometimes employers have conflicting recruiting events, limited staffing availability, or limited funding to attend career fairs, especially if they are not local.
Yes! Many graduates are excited to represent their current organizations and return to campus for our career fairs to share their experience with you.
The Career Services Center loves recognizing our talented WWU alumni on career fair marketing materials and on the career fair directory & map, so you can make sure to stop at their table.
View some of the available jobs and internship participating employers are hiring for on our Job & Internship Feed (Please note: This list features the 200 most recently posted jobs and internships to Handshake).
Schedule an appointment with the Career Services Center to review your resume or practice interviewing.
Schedule an appointment to visit the WWU Career Closet to select FREE professional attire that is yours to keep!
Check out upcoming workshops to help you prepare application materials such as a resume or cover letter that highlight your accomplishments at WWU and what’s unique about YOU!
Consider attending the first 30 minutes of the career fair—it’s less busy! For additional disability accommodations please call 360-650-3240 at least 48 hours prior to the event.
Registration is not required but is encouraged so that you will receive reminders about how you can prepare to have a successful career fair experience!
