National Library of Medicine
Maintains an extensive collection of published materials and reference works on veterinary medicine and clinical veterinary medicine, especially concerning those closely related to human health and health research. Also publishes Current Bibliographies in Medicine, which includes those dealing with pain, anesthesia, and analgesia in laboratory animals; care and use of animals; and laboratory animal welfare.

Alternatives for Animal Use
Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing (CAAT)
Provides information on alternatives for the use of animals in product safety testing. Publishes a newsletter and provides information concerning in-vitro toxicology.
