Recommendations regarding Course Modalities for 2021

The ACC supports the course modality model adopted for Fall quarter in which all lecture and seminar sections are being taught remotely, and experiential courses are being held in person when this can be done safely and when the instructor wishes to do so. We recommend a continuation of this structure for the Winter quarter.

In addition, the ACC recommends that a method and timeline for consultation with academic departments and programs be developed by which determinations for course modality can be made when a larger number of courses, including selected seminar and lecture courses, can be safely accommodated for face to face instruction.
