Western Washington University brings dedicated programs directly to the Puget Sound and Central Salish Sea regions. We want you to be able to learn where you live, so we’ve specially designed education, business, sustainability, and cybersecurity bachelor’s degree programs that are tailored for students in your region, students transferring from community colleges, and students looking to learn online.

From our Poulsbo location, pursue a bachelor’s degree in business, environmental studies, or cybersecurity to establish leading-edge skills. You can also design a unique multidisciplinary studies major to amplify your academic interests.

WWU at Port Angeles proudly offers a variety of environmental degrees, from geographic information science to environmental policy to a personalized multidisciplinary program.

Multidisciplinary Studies Majors

The multidisciplinary studies major, available in Poulsbo and at WWU’s main Bellingham campus, provides a flexible academic focus. You can create an individual plan of study that draws from resources across multiple departments.

Cybersecurity Program

WWU’s cybersecurity bachelor’s degree offers a solid foundation in security principles and computing that equips you with applicable career skills in this rapidly expanding field. Our unique 2+2 program allows you to study for 2 years with one of our 8 partner community colleges, then transfer to WWU’s Poulsbo or Bellingham campus.

Cybersecurity careers include

Cyber Security Manager, Cyber Defense Analyst, Systems Security Analyst, Secure Software Assessor, Cyber Security Developer.

Washington State Tuition Reduction

WWU has received funding from the Washington State Legislature to help reduce tuition rates in certain programs:

  • Business Administration
  • Environmental Science
  • Environmental Policy
  • Education with endorsements in Elementary and Special Education

Tuition rates for Cybersecurity and Early Childhood Education programs at Western on the Peninsulas are already aligned with other state-supported degree programs. 

Note: The graduate certificate programs for Educational Administrators and the undergraduate online Human Services degree will remain self-supporting as Western continues to work with these programs on reducing tuition costs for students.

Guaranteed Transfer Admission

Any transfer student who completes a transferable associate degree at Peninsula College or Olympic College, and meets the eligibility requirements, is guaranteed admission to Western Washington University.
