WWU can assist eligible students in meeting their educationally related financial needs through grants, scholarships, and loans. Our financial aid counselors may be able to help you find a combination of these aid programs.
Washington State Tuition Reduction
WWU has received funding from the Washington State Legislature to help reduce tuition rates in certain programs:
- Business Administration
- Environmental Science
- Environmental Policy
- Education with endorsements in Elementary and Special Education
Tuition rates for Cybersecurity and Early Childhood Education programs at Western on the Peninsulas are already aligned with other state-supported degree programs.
Note: The graduate certificate programs for Educational Administrators and the undergraduate online Human Services degree will remain self-supporting as Western continues to work with these programs on reducing tuition costs for students.

Guaranteed Transfer Admission
Any transfer student who completes a transferable associate degree at Peninsula College or Olympic College, and meets the eligibility requirements, is guaranteed admission to Western Washington University.
