*No Balloons in the Gym*
WWU has decided balloons will not be allowed in the gymnasium of Carver Academic Building. In the past, balloons have gotten loose and because the building is due to be released back to contractors after commencement, no balloons will be allowed. Please leave balloons in the car and feel free to bring other gifts for graduates. There will be flower and lei sales on site.

The commencement team has reserved seating (first come, first seated) for guests with mobility limitations and unable to climb stairs, for guests in a wheelchair, and for guests who need sign language interpretation. Early seating is available beginning at 8:30 a.m. for a guests needing accommodations - this is extended to the guests plus one companion.
For guests with mobility limitations, we suggest using the shuttle parking on campus – lot 12A. We have shuttles (one being ADA accessible) running to our ceremonies. The shuttles will drop off near the entrance to the gym for guests with tickets and make a second stop at our additional viewing location for guests without tickets.
Another option is parking in our disability parking zone in lot 17G and lot 11G. However, this lot is still a 5 minute walk to the gym. These lots may suit those with mobility devices (wheelchairs and scooters) best.
If you have questions or would like more detailed information about accommodations for guests, including information about early seating, please contact commencement staff by email. (Washington State TDD Relay Service, 800-833-6388)
Arntzen Hall 100 will be open for guests without tickets. The event will be live streamed onto a theater screen in this location. The building is near the gymnasium and will have an additional shuttle stop for guests using this space.
