Dr. Stevenson thinks the best research is a collaborative effort.  She considers herself a medical anthropologist with research foci in food allergies, anthropological demography, the importance of human diversity, disabilities, ADHD and other “quirky” brains, human osteology, immune response, human migrations, and evolutionary medicine.  Cultural foci include: European migrations both within Europe and to the Americas, population interactions in SW Asia, and indigenous resilience on the Seward Peninsula.  Classes taught include methods and statistics, medical anthropology, human adaptations to local ecologies, human evolution, osteology and forensic anthropology
