What do we do to help you with Contracts?
What is a contract?
A contract is any written form of documentation legally obligating the University for performance or monetary issues, regardless of cost, source of funds and/or no cost agreements.
Contract Administration facilities soliciting, awarding, managing, and monitoring of contracts for Western Washington University. The tools and templates, process instructions, contractor information, and contact information is linked on the left bar.
Contract Administration requires the review and signature of the Assistant Attorney General because the University is legally bound by the contracts we sign. The University is self-insured for general liability losses, so we stage all agreements for Risk Management review prior to execution to minimize both tort and contractual liability expenses.
Contracts may take two to three weeks depending on completeness of initiated routing form, changes required by the university or contractor, responsiveness of the contractor, and availability of signatories. Please carefully review the Contracts Process page to ensure prompt processing of your contract.
