What do we do to help you with Contracts?
What is a contract?
A contract is any written form of documentation legally obligating the University for performance or monetary issues, regardless of cost, source of funds and/or no cost agreements.
Contract Administration facilities soliciting, awarding, managing, and monitoring of contracts for Western Washington University. Contract Administration requires the review and signature of the Assistant Attorney General because the University is legally bound by the contracts we sign. The University is self-insured for general liability losses, so we stage all agreements for Risk Management review prior to execution to minimize both tort and contractual liability expenses.
NEW CONTRACTS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (CMM)
Contract Administration is going live with their new Contracts Management System (CMM) July 2nd 2018, as of that date, all new and existing contracts will be processed through the CMM. If you have not been identified as one of the groups submitting contracts through the CMM module, please continue to use the eSign Contract Routing Request form to initiate contract requests. Contract Administration (CA) will take the information from the eSign form and enter it in the CMM module until your area is set-up and trained to enter contracts in the new module. All new contract requests must be submitted on the eSign form. CA can no longer respond to requests via phone or email. This is required to ensure contracts are properly entered into the new CMM system.
