Outstanding Faculty Leadership Award

The Outstanding Faculty Leadership Award recognizes a WWU faculty member who has demonstrated outstanding leadership either on campus and/or in the broader community.  Leadership contributions may be internal (i.e., chairing or serving on university committees; leading department programs; creating new or innovative initiatives for the department, college or university, etc.).  The Outstanding Faculty Leadership Award has been made possible by the Western Washington University Foundation and includes a $1,000 check.  (Please note:  for each net $1,000 check, the University also contributes approximately $440 for tax related deductibles plus $110 for benefits for a total expenditure of approximately $1,550 per award.)

The award recipient will be recognized at the President’s Opening Convocation event at the beginning of fall quarter.

Students, alumni, faculty and staff members are encouraged to nominate faculty members for the Outstanding Faculty Leadership Award by December 1, 2017.
