Lunch & Learn: Sustainability Conversations
Lunch & Learn is a sustainability conversation series led by Western's Office of Sustainability in collaboration with the Teaching-Learning Academy and Western Libraries Sustainability Team.
Conversations from Fall Quarter 2013 took place on Tuesdays, from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. They were located in the Wilson 265 – The TLA Seating area in the Learning Commons of the Western Libraries.
These are informal events, some people bring a lunch. Tea, hot water, mugs, and comfortable seating are provided. We hope you can join the conversation!

December 3, 2013 – Sustainable Food
Fairhaven Room 318
Conversations with center around local food, small-scale farming, permaculture, relational eating, experiential learning, nourishment, beauty, and fun. Location: Fairhaven College & the Outback Experiential Learning Center. Potluck lunch, featuring soup from the Outback Farm and other local sources. Bring a bowl, mug or jar, and a spoon.

November 5, 2013 – The Role of the Arts in Sustainability
Join Katy Borden, WWU Graduate, Artist Services Coordinator, Allied Arts of Whatcom County to learn about what artists bring to our community, and create a unique "Wish for the Planet" to be added to the Vanishing Ice exhibit at the Whatcom Museum. Wishes for the Planet will be collected on campus all week.
November 19, 2013 – Libraries: A Sustainable and Sustaining Resource
