<p>Joyce Lopes, WWU Vice President for Business and Financial Affairs, is pleased to announce that Andrea Rodger will be Western's new Assistant Vice President for Finance and Business Services effective May 1, 2024.</p>

<p>WWU is proud to participate in Whatcom County’s Memorial Day Parade each year which recognizes those who have died serving in the Armed Forces. The parade is the oldest in Whatcom County and one of the largest. WWU is one of more than 100 entries each year which includes car clubs, marching bands, local businesses, and more while thousands of community members line the street to watch. Each year, departments, student clubs and organizations, and sports teams are all invited to participate in the parade as a part of WWU.  </p>

<p>Western Washington University (WWU) is committed to doing business within our community by maintaining and promoting practices that expand contracting opportunities for our local small businesses.
