Comments from Listening Sessions
I asked questions of groups of individuals this summer thorough a "Stakeholders Survey" in order to learn more about the university from those who know it well. My summary of the survey results was released to the community on September 17 and it is posted to this website. The discussion is broadening this fall and winter as I discuss the results in meetings with departments on campus and with community and advisory groups. In these sessions, I am asking participants what I got right and what I still need to learn. Because any excellent institution tends to talk about things that can be improved, I want to emphasize that this is an excellent university. Many of the comments posted here are therefore critical so we can get even better, and many are great bragging points about what we do so well. The points raised in listening sessions following the stakeholder survey preliminary report are posted here in bullet form, so that all of the different perceptions of the university can be shared and discussed.
