Questions & Problems

How do I have my office/room rekeyed?

If you are a University Resident you will need to talk to your Resident Assistant.
If you are occupying Academic Space you can request a rekey for a room or file cabinet by filling out a work order. Be sure to put what you want rekeyed in the details of request.
Here is a document  that might help if you are unsure how to fill out a work order.

Can I transfer keys from one employee to another?

The short answer is no for transferring keys from one employee’s W# to another employee’s W#.
The long winded answer is the infrastructure is not in place for this to happen. Currently the Lock Shop is a recharge department and does not have the funding or the time that would be required to find and change all the records to show that keys issued to one person’s W # has transferred to another person’s W#. Unfortunately it’s more efficient and cheaper to issue brand new keys.
