PW733 Sciences Building Addition
The Sciences Building Project is a new free-standing building at Western Washington University’s main campus. The building is proposed to be a 4 story Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) building. The project is planned to be approximately 50,000 GSF to accommodate the demand for instructional and research space serving STEM education. It will consist of teaching labs, wet research labs, and active learning spaces. Also, it will provide a small amount of building support and office space, and require utilities to be extended to the site.
The project is targeting the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) for New Construction to achieve LEED Gold certification through the process of the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI).
