When is the Spring Career and Internship Fair?
Thursday, April 21st, Noon-4PM PST

How/Where is this event taking place?
Virtually on Handshake. Upon registration, you can sign up for 1:1 and group sessions with employers. Employer registration will be ongoing, please log into your Handshake account to view newly registered employers and updated employer schedules.

What is the cost to participate?
This event is FREE for the entire Western Community! I’m a sophomore and have not declared a major, can I still attend? Yes! Like all career fairs hosted by WWU, students of all class levels, declared or undeclared majors and alumni are welcome to attend. The only criteria is that you are a WWU student or alumni!

How do I register?
Please log into your Handshake Student Account and scroll to “upcoming career fairs.” Once registered, you will need to go in and select available timeslots (1:1 and group sessions) hosted by participating employers! Employers have until Tuesday, April 19th to register, so it’s important to routinely check the event page for new participating employers and schedule options!

I’m a Western Alum, can I participate in virtual Career Fairs?
Yes! All Western Alumni - regardless of when you graduated are always welcome at Career Fairs!

  • Graduates prior to 2018, will need to request a free Handshake account HERE.
  • If you graduated between 2018-2021 and remember the personal email address you submitted to WWU on your degree application form, use that email to log in HERE.
  • Not sure if you submitted an email address? Please submit your full name and email to Britta.Eschete@wwu.edu.

I’ve never used Handshake before—How do I navigate this system?
All incoming/current students automatically have a Handshake account created, you just need to claim your free account. Please visit our Student Handshake Hub for more information. You can also request an appointment with Career Services to get started!

How can I learn more about employers participating in this event?
Take a look at employer profiles featuring in Handshake, visit employer websites, view their LinkedIn profile, or check for jobs, internships and/or upcoming virtual info sessions submitted to Handshake. Sign up (in Handshake) for an upcoming half-hour virtual orientation session to learn how to register for this event, build your schedule and meet participating employers.

How can I best prepare to participate in a virtual career fair?
